UV 1577

UV1577 (CAS 147315-50-2) is a triazine-based ultraviolet (UV) absorber designed to enhance the UV stability of polymers. It exhibits extremely low volatility and excellent compatibility with various polymers, including polycarbonate (PC), polyester, and polyphenylene ether (PPE), making it particularly suitable for engineering plastics and multilayer films. Incorporating UV1577 into polymer formulations significantly improves their weathering resistance and maintains their mechanical properties under UV exposure. Additionally, its low tendency to chelate with metal catalysts allows its use in polymers containing residual catalysts.
